Ubisoft Uplay pass is now free!

Ubisoft have announced in a statement today that for those of you who have picked up Driver: San Francisco, you will now be able to race online without having to buy the Uplay pass.
“Due to a printing error on the insert of some copies of Driver: San Francisco in North America, Ubisoft has elected to provide the Driver Uplay Passport content for free,” “Although this problem does not affect players outside of North America, we have decided to mirror this offer worldwide in order to be fair to all our players.”
This seems fair to me. However players will still have to select either ’Start my 2 day free trial’ or ‘Buy Uplay Pass’ to be able to activate the online mode and download the 11 Multiplayer modes and film directors feature. It’s nice to see a company do something nice for all it’s customers, even when they didn’t have to. Read more >>>
