Mass Effect fans don't like gays?

With the release of Mass Effect 3 just over 18 hours ago in North America gamers have been jumping straight onto Metacritic slamming the game and its “gayness”.

That’s right, users have been throwing zero out of ten’s left right and centre at the game and have been spewing hatred at it for leaving players have the choice to have homosexual relationships. The also included that they didn’t like the ending, but let’s face it that game is really long and you obviously rushed your way through it and you can’t enjoy a game like Mass Effect if you blast your way to the end in a few hours.   1. IIRC, there were less than 10 comments on Metacritic which mentioned anything about gays. So it's really convenient to blame that as the reason of poor ratings, but the fact is that ME3 is dumbed down, there's less conversations, less choices, horrible endging, graphic glitches and so on. But of course there's more shooting and explosions. That's why most people are mad.

    And BTW, actually lesbian romance you can have in game is just a weak substitute for romance, because you barely have any dialogue with the LI (which is not even a squad member). So much for Bioware's equal opportunity.
